Bramble Spritz

Sam Bodger

A deep purple, alcohol-free spritz made with blackberry cordial and finished with a sprig of rosemary for a fragrant, autumnal twist.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml blackberry cordial
  • 220 ml chilled water
  • A sprig of fresh rosemary
  • A few fresh blackberries, to garnish
  • Ice, to serve

Method

  1. Mix the blackberry cordial with the water and chill thoroughly.
  2. Pour into the Drinkmate bottle and carbonate to taste.
  3. Fill a glass with ice and a few blackberries, then pour over the fizzed bramble.
  4. Gently clap the rosemary sprig between your hands to release its aroma, then add it to the glass to serve.

Why it needs the OmniFizz: cordial is packed with sugar, which makes it foam heavily when fizzed. With the Fizz Infuser you can carbonate it already mixed, so the flavour is balanced all the way through rather than sitting at the bottom of the glass.

If you want an adult version of the Bramble Spritz, adding 25 ml of gin would turn it into a proper bramble-style cocktail.
